Dua for Repentance
When a person wants to sincerely repent from his sins and return to Allah Ta’ala, this Masnoon Dua should be recited. Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite this Dua repeatedly, and they counted him saying it one hundred times in a single gathering.
Dua in Arabic
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Roman English
Rabbi ighfir lee, wa tub ‘alayya, innaka antat-Tawwaabur-Raheem.
English Meaning
“My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Most Merciful.”

Riyad as-Salihin 1872 — Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Companions counted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying this Dua one hundred times in one gathering. It is also reported by Abu Dawud and Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi.
