Dua for Protection From Calamities
When a person fears the loss of Allah’s blessings, the removal of well-being, sudden punishment, or anything that may bring Allah’s displeasure, this Masnoon Dua should be recited. Hazrat Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما narrated that this was among the supplications of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Dua in Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ، وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ، وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ، وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ
Roman English
Allahumma inni a‘oodhu bika min zawaali ni‘matika, wa tahawwuli ‘aafiyatika, wa fujaa’ati niqmatika, wa jamee‘i sakhatika.
English Meaning
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessings, the change of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that displeases You.
