Dua During Hardship and Suffering
When a person is going through hardship, distress, or suffering, this Masnoon Dua should be recited to seek Allah’s help and mercy. Hazrat Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would invoke Allah at times of distress with this powerful Dua.
Dua in Arabic
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَظِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ،
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ،
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ
Roman English
Laa ilaaha illallaahul-‘Azeemul-Haleem,
laa ilaaha illallaahu Rabbul-‘Arshil-‘Azeem,
laa ilaaha illallaahu Rabbus-samaawaati wa Rabbul-ardi wa Rabbul-‘Arshil-Kareem.
English Meaning
“There is no god but Allah, the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.”
