Dua for Shifa and Healing
When someone is ill or suffering from sickness, this Masnoon Dua should be recited for Shifa and healing. Hazrat Aishah رضي الله عنها narrated that when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ visited a sick member of his family, he would supplicate to Allah Ta’ala, asking Him to remove the illness and grant complete healing.
Dua in Arabic
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
Roman English
Allahumma Rabban-naasi, adhhibil-ba’sa, washfi antash-Shaafi, laa shifaa’a illaa shifaa’uka, shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqaman.
English Meaning
“O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the illness and cure the sick person. You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.”

This Dua is narrated from Hazrat Aishah رضي الله عنها and is reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. A similar narration is also reported in Sunan Ibn Majah 3520 and Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi 3565.
