Dua When Sneezing
When you sneeze, Islam teaches us to praise Allah by saying Alhamdulillah. If another Muslim hears you and you praise Allah, they should respond with Yarhamukallah, and you should then reply with Yahdikumullahu wa yuslihu balakum. This beautiful Sunnah is mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari.

عَطَسَة کے بعد:
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
جو سننے والا کہے:
يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ
جو چھینکنے والا جواب دے:
يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ
Roman English
Alhamdulillah.
Yarhamukallah.
Yahdikumullahu wa yuslihu balakum.
English Meaning
Alhamdulillah:
“Praise be to Allah.”
Yarhamukallah:
“May Allah have mercy upon you.”
Yahdikumullahu wa yuslihu balakum:
“May Allah guide you and improve your condition.

Sahih al-Bukhari 6224
Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when a person sneezes, they should say Alhamdulillah. The person who hears it should say Yarhamukallah, and the one who sneezed should reply Yahdikumullahu wa yuslihu balakum.
Note: If the person who sneezes does not praise Allah, the response Yarhamukallah is not given, as mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari 6225.
