Dua When Entering a New City
Jab kisi naye shehar ya basti mein dakhil hon, to yeh Masnoon Dua padhna chahiye. Is mein Allah Ta’ala se us shehar ki bhalai, uske logon ki bhalai aur us mein maujood khair maangi jati hai, aur har qism ke shar se panah talab ki jati hai. (Sunnah)

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَظْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الْأَرَضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَمَا أَقْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَمَا أَضْلَلْنَ، وَرَبَّ الرِّيَاحِ وَمَا ذَرَيْنَ
أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ وَخَيْرَ أَهْلِهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ أَهْلِهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا
Roman English
Allaahumma Rabbas-samaawaatis-sab‘i wa maa azlalna, wa Rabbal-araadeenas-sab‘i wa maa aqlalna, wa Rabbash-shayaateeni wa maa adlalna, wa Rabbar-riyaahi wa maa dharayna.
As’aluka khayra haadhihil-qaryati wa khayra ahlihaa wa khayra maa feehaa, wa a‘oodhu bika min sharrihaa wa sharri ahlihaa wa sharri maa feehaa.
English Meaning
“O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all that they overshadow, Lord of the seven earths and all that they uphold, Lord of the devils and all whom they mislead, and Lord of the winds and all that they scatter. I ask You for the goodness of this town, the goodness of its people and the goodness within it, and I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people and the evil within it.” (Sunnah)
Dua When Entering a New City is a Masnoon Dua for a person entering a new city or town. In this dua, we ask Allah Ta’ala for the goodness of the city, its people and everything within it, and seek His protection from its evil.
