Dua While Going to the Mosque


While going to the mosque, this Masnoon Dua can be recited. In this dua, we ask Allah Ta’ala for light, guidance and His mercy as we make our way to the Masjid.

Dua in Arabic

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِي قَلْبِي نُورًا، وَفِي بَصَرِي نُورًا، وَفِي سَمْعِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي نُورًا، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي نُورًا، وَفَوْقِي نُورًا، وَتَحْتِي نُورًا، وَأَمَامِي نُورًا، وَخَلْفِي نُورًا، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا

Roman English

Allaahummaj‘al fee qalbee nooran, wa fee basaree nooran, wa fee sam‘ee nooran, wa ‘an yameenee nooran, wa ‘an shimaalee nooran, wa fawqee nooran, wa tahtee nooran, wa amaamee nooran, wa khalfee nooran, waj‘al lee nooran.

English Meaning

“O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light beneath me, light before me, light behind me, and grant me light.”


Dua While Going to the Mosque can be recited while travelling towards the Masjid. This dua asks Allah Ta’ala for noor (light), guidance and blessings in our heart, sight, hearing and throughout our journey.
