Dua for Protection From Evil Eye
The evil eye (‘Ayn) is mentioned in authentic Islamic teachings, and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught supplications for protection from its harm. Dua in Arabic
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
Roman English
A‘oodhu bi kalimaatillaahit-taammah, min kulli shaytaanin wa haammah, wa min kulli ‘aynin laammah.
English Meaning
“I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every Shaytan, every poisonous creature, and every harmful evil eye.”

Hazrat Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما narrated that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to seek protection for Hasan and Husayn رضي الله عنهما with this Dua. He ﷺ mentioned that their forefather Ibrahim عليه السلام used to seek protection for Isma’il and Ishaq عليهما السلام in a similar manner.
